Family movie release following a young girl who overcomes illness with the help of an imaginary friend and some very special caregivers at Roswell. Filmed over the course of five plus years at Roswell and other Buffalo locations, local writer/director/artist Peter McGennis captures the resilience of children, the healing power of the imagination and a love for our community. McGennis notes, “I have been looking to find a serviceable trajectory for my films extending beyond the work itself and to make an impact both on and off screen.” All ticket proceeds will go to the Courage of Carly Fund (and you’ll see several Carly Kids in the film). Prepare to take flight with “Bubble Girl” lifting hope and hearts. Buffalonians will enjoy the beautiful, extensive aerial portrayal of our city filmed entirely by helicopter and some very special cameo appearances. Bubble Girl reminds us of the importance of listening to our children and that sometimes “the best medicine is left to the imagination.” Gotta’ getcha’ bubblation creation on!
